Cosmetic surgery has got bad reputation. And rightly so: sometimes we come across a nose that doesn't look quite right or a strangely tight face that contrasts with the wearer's-skinned neck. That's unfortunate, because when used correctly, cosmetic surgery is about gently improving a feature you personally feel needs improvement, while at the same time maintaining your face's or body's integrity.

I'm not much of a fan for any kind of surgery. I guess if it's really necessary then yeah.

There are a lot of people who maybe hate their nose, want to remove that eyebag, lift that sagging skin, who have found surgery to be almost life changing. I don't really have any issues with how I look, but I would definitely go for surgery if I was unhappy about an aspect of my face that I thought could be improved. In the right surgeons hands it could really transform you and give you that extra bit of confidence.

I have heard that it can get a bit addictive though, with people constantly tweaking at something and never quite happy.

I think that there are many people that get cosmetic surgery for the wrong reasons, but I also think that are are many people that get cosmetic surgery for the right reasons.

For example, when the world was told that Heidi Montag first got a nose job and breast augmentation, I did not think that was extreme or horrible. However, 10 more surgeries later at the age of 23 or 24 (however old she is), she clearly has an addiction to false perfection. She will always find something wrong with herself that she feels she will need to 'fix' and I think that is really unfortunate and sad. I also believe that she is obviously not the only one out there with that state of mind in the surgeon's office. In my opinion, these are people with low self-esteem.
