Have any ideas of what he had possibly used? Do you think it's permanent or will he maintain his results? Your thoughts and reflections you can post here?

I am really interested in the fact that it is such HOT news. Only MJ, God rest his soul, has received such similar interest. It must have been really hard for him to come out in public to unveil the new look. There is no denying for him that something drastic has been done. The real shame is that society makes it difficult for him to be more open about what it is exactly he has done.
I am sure that if someone came out with a "gorgeous" tan, they could happily endorse and promote whatever product achieved that look. Unfortunately, I doubt he will be able to do the same.
I very much doubt that we will ever find out what he used unless it gets leaked out, as he would have to start explaining to the world why he felt he needed to do it. As I am sure we all know, there are always people ranting about LOVE yourself the way you are and stop trying to be "White", so he would be bound to get an incredible amount of unwanted hateful attention.
As to how he looks, I am not sure that it suits him. Maybe in real life it looks better but I have seen people who have lightened and look more attrative than his results.Whatever it is he is using, it defnintely works. I suppose it is a bit like this Pure Perfect situation, where there is definite lightening but I am not sure it actually suits the individual.

About the gorgeous tan look, everyone would be praising the person on how glorious they look [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] without a second thought. When it's lightening it's always consiered "scandalous". People continuiing to interview him as of why he lightened is just a set-up to get into his mind and embarress him further. I was wondering if he happened to use that skin lightening booth, mequinol/tret, deoxyarbutin, glutathion IVs, or something unheard of to the public. But, with him revealing the answer of what exactly he used yeah I think that is a well-guarded secret he intends to keep.

I cam't help but ponder though if it is permanent or something temporary that he is just now maintaining. Well, I'm sure one of these companies will try and claim that he had used their product to get his results, like they have done with many of the celebrities..lol.
Speaking of Pure Perfect, I had came across a photo of Sorisha Naidoo and noticed she was pregnant but her skin was still much lighter and did not return to her natural tone.

Maybe Sammy Sosa can use vitamin C serum that can improve his results. I think whatever he used could be permanent or semi-permanent.

Lightening doesn't suit everyone and I don't think that he looks good. He has more of a pale, ghostly look to him than a natural look.

I agree it does look ghostly BUT I guarantee that if it ever got out, what exactly he used, there would be a stampede of willing buyers, hoping to get the lightening but maybe not quite the shade he achieved.
I was thinking that maybe if the price was "Right", he might be tempted to divulge the information to the world. I am not familiar with this guy, only from this interest in his new skin colour. He is a sports personality, baseball, right? How wealthy is he, then ? Maybe if they offered him millions he might be tempted !! They would definitely get their money back and much much much MORE.

GG that pic of Sorisha is far more flattering. It is a shame that she did not use a similar pic to show the results she achieved. Maybe she needs to change her publicity photo. So is it still a product exclusive to South Africa then ? I guess either her products are safe during pregnancy, which is rare or there is some sort of semi permanence. Gosh there is so much info that we need to find out about what all these people are using. Actually I know that by her backgound, her skin tone is very much sort and adored but I actually prefer the colour of the lady next to her.

I think the big deal is not because Sammy Sosa' lighten his skin! It is just because he looks realy weird. To be honest he looks very sickly , and that is why people are so curious. And then the contact lence he is wearing does not help either.

He does look weird with skin that light and with contacts that doesn't look right on him. But most of the criticsm and joking come from why and how Sammy lightened his skin, interestingly people do not think much about his light contacts (maybe because so many of them are guilty for wearing them too and they don't want to be blamed for what they are doing). Theres even videos of people picking on him and saying how he now hates his race and skin color because he had lightened his skin:

hmmm.... Charles Barkely isn't one to pick, especially in public. But, it would be interesting if Sammy does decide to endorse this secret product. That was how Sorisha came to endorse Fair & Flawless in South Africa and renamed it Pure Perfect, after the public pressed her long enough of what she had used to lighten so many shades. So, we'll never know. I agree, the woman standing next to her has a more appealing tone since she has her undertones here in this photo. I don't know her name, but the other woman is also on Pure Perfect's website. But, I don't know if she also uses Pure Perfect. I am curious to know how effective or ineffective the new formulation is though. I'll have to ask them again if they market outside of South Africa...though I wouldn't be surprised if theres law restrictions for them not to market in the U.S. and Europe since that's Fair & Flawless's territory. Avoiding any potential competition from their sibling company.
You know I tried digging up more information that will uncover any current updates about Sosa and I could find nothing. Maybe he is in hiding..

I don't blame him for hiding with all this attention. Hopefully it is not because he is unhappy with how he looks. You know sometimes we think we look great and then an awful picture turns up contradicting what we thought. He must have seen some of the adverse reactions to the new tone, never mind the lightening aspect. There is nonthing worse than someone saying you look awful.

I understand that F & F may not wish them to be distributing worldwide, but I thought that this pure perfect parfait was reformulated by Sorisha because she was not happy with the F & F version. Don't know if that is correct. It's a shame that it is exclusive to S.A.

Crazy video LOL. But if the SA product is still working so well, then they should consider selling outside of their country. But , that's up to Naidoo to choose.

If what he used got out to the public, mostly everyone who lightens will be trying to get their hands on some. I think he really wanted to be his wife's color.

I know, I say so too. Who knows we may see a Sammy Sosa cream coming out soon!! But, someone know what he is using. If we dig a little deeper, we may find what it is, just not going overboard with it.

Do you really think we will ever find out.? All the other celebs who have lightened have managed to keep it a closely guarded secret. It's a bit like them having their own little secret society. Us mere mortals are not invited to join !!! LOL

I also think that if anyone actually openly expressed that they lightened and started endorsing a product, that they would fear alienating some of their fans who might be put off by this aspect of their lifestyle. Whilst no one can definitely say "YOU ARE BLEACHING" the celeb can still hang on to those fans who are not so sure or are willing to overlook it, as you have not actually openly admitted to it.
After all, we all know that there are so many out there who are totally anti lightening and will be there in a instance to bash your decision to lighten.

I am wondering if what he is using safe in the long run? because of the dramastic lighter skin that he now have.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but does anyone know how long it took for his results. What I mean by this is, as he is in the public eye, was it a case of one day he was his original colour and a week, a month, 2 months later... etc he unveiled himself with this new colour.

I take it, that it was not a gradual process as I have not come across any in-between pics.

I'm unsure, depending what it was that he had used and how often he maintains. I doubt that it was an over the counter or Hq product though, for some reason. Even though he said it was some kind of creme...lol..it probably wasn't that either, possibly injections.

My guess would be that it had taken around 6 months, maybe 9. Which is still quite fast for the amount of shades that he had lightened.
