It is also good for keeping you regular. I went recently for colonic hydrotherapy and the therapist was able to tell me that I was dehydrated during the treatment. I knew this already as I am constantly running around and sometimes just forget to drink the recommended "at least 8 glasses". I am trying to make sure that I do improve on this.

Thats true !when i don't drink enough water you can tell form the way my skin looks , so i tried to drink at least 6 glas daily.

I drink about that amount too, but I get it in in a few other ways too. Because sometimes I slack and need to push myself further. But, I include fruits and vegetables that contains a lot of water daily to help, and I eat a lot of soup. Also I like using my blender throwing in fruit and lots of ice, this seems to help too. Because if I don't drink enough I'll start to feel dehydrated and have head aches.

colonic hydrotherapy involves the insertion of a tube into the rectum and then allowing warm water to fill the colon. This along with abdominal massage softens faecal matter and hardened deposist and then allows it to be flushed out with the waste matter. The treatment is completely hygienic as all equipment is sterile and is disposed of after treatment.

It is supposed to be a great detox and has a lot of health benefits .

LOL..I had a feeling that's what it was, I knew I had heard of it before I justnever remembered the name of it. Well, I think it's more gross for the employees and not so much for the customer he he..
But on a serious note, I recall hearing that it has many health benefits and works better than using a laxative or stool softener [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] lol, sorry. But, some article postings for this would be beneficial. As they say, having a clean colon can help to prolong life.

I promise you there are no funny smells or leakages, so only when she inserts the tube is there a tiny bit of embarrassment, but it very quickly passes. Actually the only other embarrassing part is seeing yesterdays dinner flying past the tube. LOL

But a good therapist will make you feel completely comfortable and I guess she has seen it all before hundreds of times.

Thanks for the info on this. Does it hurt? What is the level od discomfort on a scale of 1-10? lol...leakage, I may ave to close my eyes until all is done.

Not really uncomfortable, although having a tube placed in your behind does feel a little strange !! LOL

The only other very slight discomfort is when they have to fill your colon with water as it does feel like a mild period pain and also makes you feel like you want to release.....if you get what I mean. When that sensation happens the therapist turns off the tap and allows a valve to open that releases the water back out along with the contents of your colon.

This is really beneficial for cleansing the colon. I remember one of my friends having this done once before and speaking highly about it.

Yeah! I agree. Heat strokes are very common during summer and drinking water is very important. Heat strokes can kill people.

Water is the best remedy for thirst, or I rather say the safest thing to drink but we need to be sure that the water is clean and safe to drink also. Water rehydrate us from the heat.
