46 BEST SKIN LIGHTENERS

Here is a comprehensive list of skin lightening products that I have compiled that has been known lighten or assist with ligtening such as exfoliants. Many may work for some people (as well as being free of steroids and mercury) in order to help us all on our never-ending search for effective and safe skin lighteners. I am not saying that all of the products listed below will work great for everyone. Because I doubt that this is possible, since everyone's skin is different and unique. Keep in mind that some people may find a product(s) that is not as effective as compared to another user using the same product and that theres always the chance of a product being ineffective, causing bad reactions, or perhaps quite effective...in other words, so it is all trial and error.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Please also keep in mind that these products are not in any specific order. I tried to have the full titles of the products spelled out correctly in order to have an easier search and that some of the products possibly may work best in conjunction with another product or possibly not. They all range from inexpensive to expensive in price range. As with all lighteners it's best used along with an effective exfoliant and sunblock high in spf that has UVA/UVB protection, as well as limiting your sun exposure. I will try and add on a consistent basis other additional skin lightening products that has probability of being effective for us all.

What changes did you see while using the f&w exfoliating and lightening soap, is it the purple kind or orange colored one? I also want to try the carotein cream on my legs.

Shiseido and South Beach solutions worked great for me and can do the job, although Shiseido is more high end.

As I had mentioned in a thread, it's been about 9 days since I have been using nadinola with a pink grapefruit scrub and I am already seeing a little results showing through now. I really hope this works for me.

Thanks Cordellpuss, I still want to later try the f&w soaps. Did you use it for one or two times a day?

LiteNYellow what were your results like from using the Shiseido and which one did you have most of your success from?

Hi Bj, i use the F&W exfoliating & lightening soap once a day or every other day. What you don't want is to over exfoliate the skin.

I'm going to try Fair & White cream, I was using products from Monobenzone.net but because of funky service stopped. I've been shopping around since then, using pills and gluta soap and that's okay for some maintenance but the knuckles, knees and some areas of the face as I said, shopping around for an effective products with few side effects.

Hi Pamumkeyjo! Fair&White Exclusive line is good you can use the jel on your knuckles and knees to help them lighten up.

can these be used for caucasion skin?

Pamunkeyjo, I agree with Cordellpuss. The Exclusive line seem to have more success from the F&W line. Monobenzone.net has a negative reputation, so I would stay as far away from them as possible. For the knuckles, elbows, and knees to lighten, I would suggest using TCA peels in low strength first, then use an effective lightener to lighten these areas. As the skin is usually thicker and darker, and may take longer to lighten.
Emo Chik, yes the ingredients commonly used such as alpha arbutin, kojic acid, hq, licorice, mequinol, bearberry, mulberry root extract, etc along with exfoliants such as lactic acid, glycolic acid, papain (from papaya), apricot kernals, etc are often used in skin brightening and lightening products for all colors and ethnicities.

Thanks guys, I was sort of confused. So, which ingredient can work best for me?

Emo chik it is very difficult to say what will work best for one person,as what works for one may not be suitable for another and sometimes it may be just a case of trying and seeing what suits you best.
Have you tried any lightening products before? What is your current skin shade? How much lightening are you trying to achieve. Let us know and maybe we can suggest what may be worth trying.

SLB,

you will have to let us know how you get on with it, especially as there have been lots of positive reviews on it. Good Luck and if you aren't doing it already, make sure you are applying your sunblock, regularly.

It's been about a couple of weeks and the nadinola is working for me. I'm just using it on my face, ears, and neck right now. I don't know how light it will get me, it's not super fast or anything. I think the exfoliation is also helping.

MAHARANI

Post Fri Apr 16, 2010 12:39 pm by MAHARANI

Bj,

Glad to hear it looks promising. As the skin takes about 28 days to renew, maybe you will start to see even more results in a couple of weeks. Are you using it on it's own at the moment? I know some are also using it in conjuction with retin A , but this may not be for everyone, as it does cause skin peeling for some and sometimes purging.

I know when I started using Retin A , I had a real problem with the peeling as working with the public, means that you are constantly being watched. And flaky skin is not a good look !! I started to use adapalene, which is a gentler form of retinoid, so less peeling but same sort of results.
What sort of exfoliation are you doing?
