Have you ever read the 20 beauty myths by cosmetic cops? Interesting reading and I do agree with what is said. Here is the link..
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

It speaks on myths about day cream and night cream and that the only difference should be spf (for daytime). Dry skin is not about upping your intake of water as it is deeper than that.
Tell me what you think of the article and if you agree or disagree. I tend to agree with most of it.

Interesting article Allure, thanks. I will take a look at this. Yes, I remember reading of how the main difference with day and night creme is that the day usually contains spf and sometime the night contain more oil.

Thanks GG. It always amazes me about the difference in prices for day and night creams. Night creams are way too expensive.

I believe night creams are more expensive because of the placebo affect. Most are marketed to repair damaged skin while at night, this means you do not have to work at preventing the damage done to your skin such as washing and moisturizing on a regular basis. Now some really do work, my grandmother used the ponds cold cream and her cheeks are baby butt skin smooth lol, but some are just overpriced.

True. Night cremes are nice to use also during the winter months, as our skin tends to dry more around these times. Also ture that they can be more costly due to the fac that they are marketed as a nourishing anti-aging creme. Day cremes can be as well, though they usually as mentioned contain a low dosage of sunblock.

Alizee you are too funny! During the winter months the only thing that helps dry skin for me is Amlactin and of course I don't use any other products with it. It is truly an amazing and expensive lotion!

Amlactin containing a nice percentage of lactic acid is very nice. Have you tried Glyton lotion? It has 20% glycolic acid.
