They love to ban over there...it is absolutely ridiculous. Did they say the ban was permanent ? They did that to me for absolutely no reason and with no explanation but after a couple of months or so the ban mysteriously lifted.......so if you want to go back then it may still be possible.

that is the exact same messgae I got. Then all of a sudden I started getting email notifications of responses to threads that I had posted on in the past, so I tried to log on and it worked and I have had no further restrictions since then, so maybe the ban is not permanent as they say.

They must go through phases of just banning at random. Maybe one of the mods gets bored and wonders what they can do to entertain themselves. Absolutely ridiculous and this is why so many other forums have no respect for that site.

How many out there has herd of alternative engines, engines that can run on anything from alcohol to garbage or water. Or carburetors that can get 100 miles to the gallon, or electric or magnetic engines that can practically run forever.
You don’t know about them because if they were to come into use it would put the oil companies out of business.
The concept of the internal combustion engine has been obsolete for over 50 years. But because of the oil cartels of corrupt government regulation, we and the rest of the world has been forced to use gasoline for over 100 years.
Big businesses primarily responsible for destroying the water we drink, the air we breathe and the food we eat . they have no care for the world they destroy, only the money they make in the process. I thought well lets go to some remote state or country, anywhere on earth. But In doing a little research, I realized. These people broke our toxic waste all over the world. They basically control legislation and in fact the law.
The law says no company can be fined over $25,000 a day, for companies making over 10,000,000 a day by dumping lethal toxic waste into the ocean, it’s only good business to continue doing so.
They influence the media so they can control our minds, they’ve made it a crime to speak out for ourselves and if we do so were called conspiracy nut and were laughed at.
Were angry because we’re all chemically and genetically damaged, and we don’t even realize it. Unfortunately, this will affect our children. We go to work each day and right under our noses we see our car and the car in front of us nocuous poisonous gasses, there all calmative poisons. These poisons kill us slowly, even when we see no affect.
How many would have believed if we were told 20 years ago that on a certain day we would not be able to see 20 ft in front of us. That we wouldn’t be able to take a deep breath because the air would be a mass of poisonous gas. That we wouldn’t be able to drink out our foists and that we would have to buy water out of bottles.
The most common and god given rights has been taken away from us, but fortunately the reality of our lives is so grim that nobody wants to hear it.
Now I’ve been asked what we can do, I think we need a responsible body of people that I think can represent us rather than big business. This body of people must not allow the introduction of anything into our environment that is not absolutely biodegradable or able to be chemically neutralized upon production. And finally, as long as there is a profit to be made from polluting our earth, companies and individuals will continue doing whatever they want. We have to force these companies to operate safely and responsibly, with all out best interest in mind. So that when they don’t we can take back out resources and our hearts and our minds to do what’s right

Hi there! I just watched this video. Although I'm an environmentalist & the video makes a valid point about the obsolescence of combustion engines & our need to change our behaviours, I'm not prepared to drink this Kool-aid & here's why.

The commentator, we know not who it is or what organization/political party etc. he represents, uses the same tired tactics that all propagandists use. The cliches, slogans, euphemisms & identification of a vague unspecified enemy 'we the good townspeople' can rail against.

Here are some of the bad guys we all must rise up against: 'big business' 'government officials' 'oil cartels' 'THESE PEOPLE' 'corrupt government regulations;

Some Accusations: that 'these people' are guilty of: 'forcing us to buy bottled water' (most bottled water is plain old municipal tap water run through a Britta type filtre!) 'control legislation & the law' 'influence the media & control our minds'

What must we the good guys do about it?: Here come the cliches: We must 'take back our resources, hearts & minds & DO WHAT'S RIGHT.

What IS right? Whatever this propagandist tells us is 'right' in his follow-up video, of course! Because, we're good & they're bad! Appealing, but grossly oversimplified. The minute any 'big business' down-sizes or closes, tens of thousands of people lose their livelihood. since most of these wage workers get their health insurance (& even life insurance) through their employer, they lose that too. Then come the foreclosures & the peripheral businesses that close & lay workers off (suppliers of raw materials etc.)

In order for such a shift to be made (in the automotive industry let's say) the interim shift would leave god knows how many people out of work & unemployed. Few of those would ever return to the job because they lack the advanced technical training to do the jobs such technologies will inevitably demand. I'd LOVE to see the combustion engine gone & the usage of fossil fuels gone with it BUT facile propaganda/paranoia/emotion-driven 'revolutions' 'rebellions' 'over-throws' or 'uprisings' aren't the solution.

WE CONSUMERS must be willing to change our habits. Have YOU rendered your home environmentally friendly? Have YOU taken measures to reduce your carbon footprint? Do YOU reduce, recycle reuse & refuse (as in refusing to buy over-packaged items?)Do YOU grow any of your own produce & buy local produce?
Do YOU compost your organic waste? Do YOU use public transit or a bike to get around? Do YOU still buy processed food or eat in fast food outlets? Do you order it in?

It is so tempting to be seduced by messages like these: they begin with some truth & identify some very real problems (pollution & fossil fuel dependence). This then gets blamed on some faceless 'other' who is doing terrible things to us. If it weren't for some evil 'them' or 'those people', all the problems 'we good people' suffer from would be gone.

THINK TWICE: throughout history, revolutionaries with a hidden agenda have used this tactic. the result is usually a bloodbath.

- Think of 'the people's liberation army' in China,

- The French Revolution where 'the bourgeoisie & the nobility' were the cause of all ills.

- THINK of RIGHT NOW in AMERICA where Obama is being accused of all kinds of abuses of power & having a crazy hidden agenda related to Fundamentalist Islam, COMMUNISM & god knows what else by the 'good people' & 'real Americans' of the Tea Party movement.

- THINK of the Russian Revolution where the good 'Proletariats' were supposed to do the right thing & take back the country from the 'bloated elites sucking off the teat of the blablabla' & return it to 'the people'(who had better do whatever the leaders of the revolution TELL them or wind up executed or in a Gulag!)

- THINK of NAZI GERMANY where the identified 'THEY' were millions of Jews, Gypsies, Gay people, mentally ill & physically disabled etc. Anyone whose hair wasn't naturally blonde & who didn't meet so-called 'Aryan'standards like HITLER (sterile, black-hired,Halitosis, Amphetamine addiction) & GOEBBELS (a dark Gypsy with a disability) & Heydrich (a 1/4 JEW). THEY were 'controlling the media' & 'corrupting the VOLK!

Please do NOT drink the Koolaid. Do whatever you can for the environment from where you are & in your community. Remember: if WE refuse to buy it,'THEY' will be forced to change their practices too. Just don't be so quick to join some band of rebels & follow this pied piper.
