I'm new in the lightening world, I would like to know what are the best lower price product to light my skin. I only used Idole cream and soap (from the Jabones Pardo company located in Spain) so I'm a litle bit scared of those product. I dont really need some " fast result".

look at this

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

it's 46 BEST SKIN LIGHTENERS, it is the tittle, its a list of products compiled my golden girl herself, all of these work, i have not used most of them, but i assume that all those are safe and free of steroids and mercury.

its a list of 46, this takes work and you might have to look them up and find something in your price range and that that works for you. it took me 2 years and 500 dollars to finally find something for me.

just to help you, looking at the list cheap creams are pretty much any thing with hydroquinone in them, Fair & White i'v seen in stores and thats pretty cheap, anything that ends in soap on the list is cheap, mainly because soaps are cheap, mequinol and retin a are pretty cheap to.

hope this helps Very Happy

your welcome
for your body i personally might buy hydroquinone lotion, it's really cheap. a large bottle might run you 15-20 dollars and mix it with retin a.

i don't fully know how i'm going to lighten my body yet, i might use that or mequinol and retin a mixed with anti-itch cream. either way it's a good price, i'm still working on my face.
one body part at a time

I agree, hq is fairly cheap when it comes to the body &/or face. But, usually many hq loions contain only 2% hq. If it was 4% hq then better results. If anyone is aware of any larger sized brand that works, please let me know.

Exfoliating your skin with lactic acid peels at low strength is a great starter before lightening your body, do this for about 3-4 weeks (once for each week) and purchase a good microfiber cloth. Some users use the wrapping method which you warp the parts of the body that you want lightened with seran wrap at night after applying the lightening product.
On the cheaper scale, nadinola 3% hq / Ra can work well. All Day Chemist 4% / Ra, Caroteine nourishing and fairness creme is an exfoliating creme but not as strong as Ra but is another alternative to exfoliate.

GG, I agree with you about the acid ... it actually helps with getting lighter seeing that the new skin is fresh and the product will penetrate even better. It's been said that wrapping really helps the product penetrates. Many people have attested to this on other forums too.

Hey...for all those who are asking if the wrapping method works...hands down!
It so works! I can attest to that.I was trying to lighten my toes and I was told to wrap my feet in a plastic bag over night.I did it for like a month but I had the plastic on all thru the day with socks on...I am so so happy cos it has worked.I just have a few more weeks to go and i will be done.As of now,I am not wrapping anymore cos my feet are getting too light.I just wrap my toes and wear my socks.
Try it.You will be glad you did.I shared this same experience on AMHD

For some reason I have never thought of wrapping. Viola, I have some darkening on my feet as well and was using glycolac and then Ambi on the darkest spots but they alway redarken.

Any tips to keep from redarkening?

Yes, I also have been hearing very positive news with the wrapping method. Last fall I did give it a try for a few days, if I continued with it longer who knows? But, the itching and sweating! But, for those interested in lightening their arms and legs, this is a great addition to add to your regimen.

Well you won't die from the wrapping unless you wrap it around your face or your neck.

The only reason I wouldn't do the wrap is because I would be too uncomfortable.

Calist- I knoow people who are dark skinnned tend to have a hard time lightening but they redarken very fast, this could be a reason you redarken or if you don't dtick with the regimen

I don't usually redarken at all except for my feet, which I find very puzzling. I exfoliate on a regular basis and have applied Ambi, but the my toes seem resistent. I wondering if the wrapping method will work - although it sounds so uncomfortable, especially since it will be on my feet. I can't imagine what my fiancee will think when he sees my feet wrapped in Saran wrap before bed....ugh...

Calista,

If it is comfortable for you then, putting socks on top of the wrap helps me when I have tried it in the past. I do think that doing the hands is harder, as the temptation to take it off in the night is much more. I agree it is not the most comfortable of methods but it really does help. So apart from your feet how else is your regime going ?

Maharani,
My newest regimen (there have been too many to count) has been going well. Thanks for asking. I think the biggest change has been the texture and tone of my skin. I know I'm not 18 anymore, but just because you get into your 30's doesn't mean you have to look bad, right? Although it's my habit to always use sunscreen some darkening around my hairline had gone unnoticed and further examination had me thinking the texture of my skin wasn't looking good either. I decided to try chemical peels for the first time and what a difference it made! The chemical peel along with the 4% HQ I just got I think I might be on track - finally. A warm Welcome to the board daredevil !! Does the name have a significance in your life then ?

So how are you finding the soap? I personally have not found soaps, by themselves to be effective for overall lightening, if that is what you are looking for. I see the benefits of possible exfoliation and brightening, but feel that other topical lighteners may be needed as well , for significant results, especially as it just gets washed off.

Do you hav any goals that you are trying to acheive? Hope you don't mind all the questions. We all love to hear from our new members.

I haven't heard of that soap before, is it working for you? I know the soaps tend to help with exfoliation but I don't know how well it lightens. Have you ever used a lightener before?
