Are you using this on your face or your body? I did get good lightening with makari too but have never tried the glycerin.

I have not yet decided.I haven't even opened it yet to see the consistency. Will decide later on and update. But guys...the instructions are weird.
You got to put it on,then wash it off after its absorbed to get the greasy effect off-like an hour later. But they say you can leave it on if you please.
God! next week,i got work to do.Still got to decide if I am gonna leave it on my skin or wash off...lets see.

I think Yasmynn is right. What is the sense in washing off something you have paid good money for??? I did see it in the shop but it looked quite greasy to me and this is why I decided to try other products of the range. I don't have acne prone skin but the makari did break me out so did not want to make matters worse with something that looked quite oily. I think it would be ok for my body but it is expensive and am not sure it would last very long.

I want to use it with my remaining bottle of fair and white exclusive...which I love.I will mix the two in my palm and see how it goes...after all, they say,you can leave it on your skin...i plan to do that. The glycerin is 150ml unlike the lotion which is 140ml and still more expensive.I had a random $50 and my fair and white serum is almost finished.Just though I should try something a lil different.I was on makari facebook page yesterday and some lady said the glycerin is awesome.Fingers crossed. Will share!

Okay...I began today.Lets see how it goes.
But 1st i wanna say it is not messy! People exaggerate a lot! Its a little thicker than F&W exclusive serum.I simply mixed it in my palm with my lotion and thats it.The smell is awesome!

It does look kinda icky so thanks for clearing that up. I really wanna try this out on my body especially as it can get quite dry.

Well it can't be any more icky than lactic lotion lol. Try using an exfoliting soap before you apply it. I use fair and white AHA exfoliating soap from the local beauty supply. After I use it my skin soaks up WHATEVER I use. So maybe that will help your skin soak up some of the oiliness.
No, I haven't used their serum before, but have used other icky serums.

I love F&W exfoliating soap. Its the orange one you use right??I used it for over a year non stop!I should get it again.
Now,I use Clinique soap on my face and normal DIAL soap on my body...but i have this miraculous body sponge...it is awesome! Will keep you posted.

me too!! I know makari did break me out but I did get really light with it. I keep wondering whether using retin A with it might help if I ever try it again.

Retin A works well to alleviate the problems asscociated with products that cause breakouts. These companies should invest time and money in finding and removing whatever it is that is causing the problems in the first place though.

And to let you know that I know of someone who has been successful in using makari with Retin A and managed to avoid the breakouts with it.

Gothqueen I thought I heard that the caviar in their products is the source of the breakouts. I don't know if this new product contains caviar though.

Even the ones without the caviar broke me out. Maybe the retin A woud help. I know that it has been really helping me when a spot turns up. Get's zapped pretty quick.

Okay people, verdict time is today! As you all know,I have been using Makari lightening glycerin for 12 days now am and pm. 12 days has been enough to give me results based on facts and not wishes. So,this evening,I am so so happy to add another potent lightener to my list! Yes! It is working and working pretty well! My skin is wonderfully smooth and lighter than when I just began 12days ago.
My elbows are peeling slightly. This has NEVER happened before! My knees are visibly less dark.Like I told you,I am mixing it with my F&W exclusive lotion.I love the results am getting.I hope this works for someone too.If you try it,let us know how it works for you...
Oh...as for break outs, well,I did have breakouts but wait...not cos of the glycerin...Am "flagging the red",if you know what that means. So that's why.
"I'm loving it!"

Viola that is good to know that it is working well. I do miss makari myself. I am sure that yasmyn also used makari with a hq product. I think she used it with nadinole (sp?) Makari seems to work well with Hq products for some reason. I still have some makari and you are tempting me so bad to get started again. I just need to hurry up and fade the marks first.

Viola, It's great to hear that you are happy with how it it's working for you. I know that Yasmynn has been not too pleased with her latest results but I think she may be using the milk. Hopefully she can put her input into how she has found it. I know that it always worked for me too but I keep hearing that it is not as good as it used to be and I haven't tried it for some time now. Thanks again for the review !!!
