I have been using this for a few weeks now. I actually bought it several months back but never tried it. I have beeen having a hard time with the peeling with retin A so wanted to see how I find this instead. I know it is not a substitute but I really like the way my skin is feeling at the moment with it. It only comes in a very small tube unfortunately so I will be re-ordering soon. There is no worries about not using in the day time as well. It has a creamy consistency so is more mositurising for me than the retin A gel.

Where did you get it from? It looks quite pricey

I got it from reliable rx but I am sure that allday do it as well. They do it as a pck of 3 as well which works out cheaper. It is still cheaper than a lot of places that I have seen it being sold and I can imagine that a derm would charge even more

Kim have you given up on RA then? I have had my eye on azelaic acid for a while so may try it out myself though from my understanding it does not work on "normal" pigment but more for things like melasma or pregnancy mask but I don't think it would hurt to try it out and see how it works.

Well I left it out for a litte while and then several days back I thought I should incorporate it again because I know of all the benefits but was really annoyed when my skin got flaky again. It really makes my make-up look bad. this was after one use, not even like I had been using it nightly or anything. I don't want to abandon RA all together so will have to think of how to make it work better for me

how about buffering, So you are not getting the full effect? It also sounds like you only need to use it a few times a week as well. Some poeple sometimes only use it twice a week and still believe they reap the benefits.

I was thinkimg about buffering with some astral. I will see how it works out. I realise now that nightly usage is not for me. Far too much shedding going on. I think a guy can get away with it better especially as generally they don't wear make up

It also makes it easier if you want to reapply a moisturiser throughout the day if your skin becomes dry if you are not wearing make-up

exactly. If I didn't have make up on I would be able to try and disguise all the flaking and dry peeling areas. It can be a pain when you are constantly checking that your skin looks ok but then not being able to do much about it till you get home and remove your make up.
