I had no idea they would carry such products either. The nearest would be vitamin C I would have guessed. It looks like something worth using when you want a break from HQ but I woudln't expect much

Alpha arbutin is supposed to take time to work in general so definitely no overnight lightening here but if someone was looking for something that did not contain Hq and was from a reputable source it is worth a try. But I totally agree that I would not expect anything dramatic

I wonder if this could be used to alleviate the dryness I get from using RA/HQ sometimes.

I don't see why not. Just use it at a different time. I am not sure about mixing too many products as you never know how they will react and whether it will weaken their potency.

Did you get it in the end? I did look for it in my local one but could not see it. I didn't feel like asking the assistant in case they gave me a funny look lol I was wondering if this can only be purchased online

No I found it in the shop. Check around the cosmetic section. I haven't started using it yet though. I noticed that it isn't alpha ARBUTIN in it. It is alpha albulin whatever that is???? But we will see how it works.

Well spotted. I did not notice that. On the website it says albumin and I could not find anything about alpha albumin other than what relates to the product itself

ok I will have another proper look when I am in there again. I just didn't feel comfortable asking the assistant at the time, especially as it is called a whitening cream. I know you shouldn't care what random people think but I don't like it when people start looking at you hard based on your purchases

lol I know what you mean.That is why it is nice when you can just pick up what you want from the shelf and make a quick exit. That is why I sometimes hate going into black hair & beauty stores and know that I have to ask for something from behind the counter. It not only feels uncomfortable asking but you have to be wary about other customers listening and guessing what you are up to lol

I have to laugh at all this ducking and diving. Thank goodness for the internet and being able to buy on line in privacy. BTW have you tried it yet?

yes I have tried it. It really feels lovely on my skin. hq/ra can be quite drying on the skin and this nicely adds a bit of moisture back to it. I don't know how it will work in terms of lightening and I am not expecting anything much but I am sure it isn't harming my routine and it may help a bit hopefully in the long run.

hi guys, I used it too, although for a short period, without significant lightening. When I went to my local H&B, they didn't stock it anymore. I think its been discontinued.

I wonder if you used it long enough. I have now seen it in my H & B shop but didn't buy it because I laid out a lot on my Obagi. Mind you I think someone said it is probably going to be a better brightener than lightener

thanks for the review. that is what I thought but as it is not expensive and I wanted something to help me with my dry skin when I use hq then I will not be too disaapointed that/if it does not do much. Just thought it can't do any harm. Thanks again though
