My goodness the last few days it has been hot enough to cook eggs on the streets of London. It was truly awful and a nightmare having to get out and about. I maanaged to avoid it as much as I could but I ended up needing to get some money from the cashpoint which happened to be on the sunniest side of the road. I had my hat on but the back of my neck was exposed and felt like it was being slowly roasted as I tried to get some money out. I had my sunblock on but I was totally paranoid that I was burning. Fortunately it does look like the block was doing it's job but I went out today and bought a light scarf to cover my ncek in case that happens again, as every where else is covered on me but my neck.

It is still fairly warm but nothing like the past previous days thank goodness.

Summer can seem like it is is gong on forever. At least you know your sunblock is working and fortunately the weather has changed for now. Where I am we have had very hot weather for a while but I have been able to do my work from home so have been able to avoid the worst of it.

OMG Kim it was like a nightmare. I keep an eye on the weather forecast as much as I can but it still seemed so unexpected. It did not help that everyone was sunning themselves and I was doing my best to cover up as much a possible. I was sweating like a PIG !!!! Luckily that day I did not have to take the tube or I don't know what I would have done, though sometimes it is nice to get some shade in the underground but it just gets so hot down there when the weather changes like that.

I saw a couple of chinese ladies yetserday with their umbrellas up and no one was taking any notice. It has been cooler, though still very sunny and I would love to have the bottle to put my brolly up too. I must say they both had very milky flawless skin. Just like two litlle dolls.

I am sure you are tired of me saying it but this is a daily occurence for me and I am constantly battling to make sure that this darn sun does not do any more damage that it hasn't already done. I wish I had been more sun aware before and knew what sun block to use but it took coming here for me to see what I needed to do to get back my skin tone before this ugly tan. Big thanks for all those who helped me !!!!!

@ yogi, yes I see more and and more chinese/thai women with their umbrella up but as we both know it is a big no no for black people. it would draw far too much unwanted attention. Even covering up makes people look at you like you are mad.

@quiamontana sorry this seems like a much harder journey for you than some of us. We do see cloudier and rainy days here so it is not all year round sunshine. I would so hate that and I think becuase of the importance of avoiding the sun once you start lightening, I am not sure what I would do.

@rainbow glad you ae still able to have fun !!!

You are spot on it is much much harder when every day is a hot sunny day. There is no let up and there are days when I feel that I am putting my life on hold. I know that even if I was not lightening, my skin was never a lover of the sun anyway. I was always feeeling the effects and seeing horrible sun damage.
