hey everyone! its been a while Very Happy but i have advise to share with you all Wink a lot of people include retin-a in there regimens, and more often then then not, this fallows by flaking of the skin No I often found myself halting to use the product for several days b4 i knew i was gunna leave the house, rubbing it off fiercely if i knew i had to go somewhere, or splashing water on my face to mask the loose skin Shocked but i recently came across one technique that seemed to get rid of the skin quickly without further irritation, and it was under my nose the whole time scratch it was zinc oxide sun screen, now, does it have to be zink oxide confused that i dont know, but it happens to be the 1 i have Smile so what i do is, apply the retin-a and HQ at night, by the time i'm up in the morning sunny ive already started flaking then believe it or not, i then apply more HQ and RA, in about 30min to an hour i apply my sunscreen, and i make sure to rub it in...not to hard Suspect lol but i rub continuously for about a minute or 2, and BOOM! just like that! Surprised u can fell the loose skin coming off without any irritation or over exfoliation. the sun screen is thick enough to remove nothing but the skin about to come off after a little bit of rubbing time, after that, you'll be ready to leave house no more flaking skin Very Happy

Thanks for the tip. Thankfully I seem to not get as much flaking as some but I also heard that using warm oil like almond oil and gently massaging it in also helps to emove the flakes. Glad your method works for you Smile

yes I mean no, it is good to know that you have found a method that works for you. I find the whole peeling stage a nightmare but know for certan that any kind of rubbing would make my skin go red raw. You are clearly made of tougher stuf than me king

I have been applying Retin -A 0.0025% for more than a week now, how come I have not flaking? My skin does feel softer but I also use Estee Lauder pore minimizing skin refinisher which leaves the skin feeling primed. does my skin have to flake to know its working or do I need a stronger dose?

Do you mean 0.025%? The skin does not have to flake in order for it to be working and some people would be grateful not to have to go through this side effect of retin A usage. Just continue. Are you using it every night? Once you have finished your current retin A, You may find that you want to increase the percentage if you find that your skin tolerates 0.025% ok but it is not necessary to see peeling to know it is doing something.

.025% is too weak for flaking, but that doesn't mean it isn't working.
