Is there any eyeliner that doesn't make eyes water so much?

You possibly may have sensitive eyes, avoid applying the eyeliner too close or on the waterline. Your waterline is the part of your eye right above the lash line that is pale in color and touches the eye, if you draw the eyeliner here it can be irritating and damaging to the eye. Plus, applying it directly on or under the lash line will not help it to stay on as long. Also, look for an eyeliner that says it will not tug on the skin, as this can be one of the problems as the eye area is very delicate. Select an appropriate eyeliner such as those that are labled "hypoallergenic" or "safe for contact wearers", because they won't irritate your eyes as much and they usually go on more easily than regular liner.

have you tried a waterproof eyeliner before?. Hopefully with careful application you should be able to apply it not too close to the inner eyelids and also avoid any smudging and running. Maybe this will help with your sensitvity to eyeliner application as you won't need to apply so closely to your lids.

I love Benefit Bad Gal waterproof eyeliner. It goes on like a dream and is very long lasting, smudgeproof and is very intense on the eyes. I have often been asked by people what liner I use, as it looks nice and dark like a liquid liner but really stays put.

It is pricey but I have seen it on ebay for cheaper and is a nice treat for anyone who likes to wear eyeliner.

Bj, since it seems that your eye are sensitive or maybe you are applying your eye pencil incorrectly, I had the same problem before. so try the water proof one that Maharani just suggested and if it doesn't work and you find that you still tearing a lot, then try Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil, is very nice and it goes on very smooth, and just apply eyeshadow on top so that way it doesn't smudge and it would last you all day. Have you done it. I saw it on the telly being done. It did look nice and made the lady's eyes really stand out. It did look painful though.

Try it with Liquid Eyeliner from "Essence". It's relatively cheap when compared with other popular brands,is also a good quality product.

Many brands offer a variety of hues, textures and types of eyeliners; ideally suited for different situations, weather conditions, shape and color of the eyes. Eyes are quite delicate and need to be handled with care. Soft eyeliner pencils, liquid eyeliner, felt tip eyeliner that works like the liquid one and the cake eyeliners are the most common types available in the market. Pencils and felt tips must glide easily on the eyelid area and must not require pressure. Using eyeliner properly needs a lot of practice and a steady hand to avoid smudging it. Pencil and felt tip eyeliners are easier to control as you can use them like pens to sketch the desired look and define your eyes while liquid eyeliners need more practice just like using pointed brushes in painting and may smudge easily but they make better, brighter and clearer lines.

Yes there are. Too many of them to be more precise. You just have to be very careful in choosing because there are also too many fake products that are flooding the market.

I think gel liner is the best. You can still get that clean and defined line without a high chance of smearing. And you don't have to do all that tugging on your eyes.
