Has Anyone Tried Pure Perfect?

This product seems to have both positives and negatives. I am wondering how much of their new formula has been improved and if they have come out to explain their situations. If anyone has tried, or know anyone who has tried their products, please post any experiences and thoughts about Pure Perfect.

Before & After Pics Of Sorisha Naidoo From Using Previous Pure Perfect Products

My personal thoughts: Well, looking at Sorisha's before after photos are quite dramatic and seem to have much potential to help anyone with achieving their goals at any level, which makes it tempting for many. But, I personally like her before photo more than the after, as her after photo has a pale appearance and in my opinion had lightened too much which blended poorly with her features...well, at least by looking at this specific pic it looks this way to me. Along with their poor customer service I had experienced from them in the past, still somewhat high prices (although quite cheaper than some in the US), their limited locations of customer base to serve, and previous formulation concerns with an imbalance to the skin (Possibly due to excessive amounts of AHA acids and...did they not have Sepiwhite as an active ingredient before? if I'm correct I am almost sure of this, but I may be incorrect... which should not be applied at such high levels, as well as unstable formulations) but no, it does not contain any form of steroids and was sent in for testing and proved as clear. But, here is the article below and feel free to share your thoughts and opinions on your experiences with this.

"Pure Perfect skin-lightening cream being tested after users complained cream destroyed their skin"...?
Principal dermatologist and senior head of the skin clinic at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Dr Ncoza Dlova said she had sent samples of Pure Perfect for analysis after 15 patients said the product had caused them to break out in acne or darkened the colour of their skin. She said other Durban dermatologists had seen patients with similar complaints after using the facial cream, which sold for nearly R1000 in 11 selected stores countrywide.

"What usually happens with skin lighteners is that in the first month or so your skin will look really nice and, as a result, patients get a false sense of improvement. Then, four to six months later, they will start to see complications, but by then the damage would already have been done," said Dlova. "I have been working with a chemist and I have sent a sample of Pure Perfect to be analysed where they will look for the presence of steroids or any banned substances." Efforts to contact Pure Perfect were unsuccessful. Naidoo endorsed the US-based skin- lightening product after criticism of her skin colour. It also reputedly assists with acne scarring and pigmentation. However, in December, Naidoo, who is married to multimillionaire businessman Vivian Reddy, admitted in a half-page advertisement in a local newspaper that she had co-developed a "new and improved parfait", as the old cream had caused her to go from "a beautiful white shade to a very pink, flushed tone".

The new composition is said to cause "brighter, lighter and clearer skin within days". The first product, according to Naidoo, was discontinued, as it bruised and scarred her face and neck. "I constantly had to cover blotches and red marks or bruises on my neck or face. I met a cosmetologist from the UK in June who advised me that the product was exfoliating my skin faster than it could repair itself, hence the white tone of my skin was gone, only to be replaced by the very last layers of dermis."

Naidoo said consumers who tried the new cream would experience transitional side-effects, but that these were "one step closer to happier and healthier whitening". On her website, Naidoo said the new product was passed by the Department of Health and did not contain any banned substances, including hydroquinine. The chemical - a skin-whitening ingredient that breaks down the skin's protective layer, causing burning, itching and blistering - was banned in 1987 under the Foodstuffs, Cosmetic and Disinfectants Act of 1972. She said that in the past three years several dermatologists had tested the products and found no harmful substances. This week Naidoo told the Sunday Times Extra that she was aware that some people had experienced negative reactions to the first cream. "I believe, however, that these people weren't using the product correctly." She said she believed it was "good practice and every individual's right" to have the product analysed.

She said both the old and the new products had received Medicines Control Council (MCC) verification under the cosmetic category. A disclaimer on the website noted that "the use of the word lightening, in the context of a cosmetic skin-care preparation, is prohibited by local regulations in some parts of the world" and therefore the product was not for medicinal benefit and purely for cosmetic purposes. Department of Health spokesman Fidel Hadebe said it was mandatory that products advertised as skin lighteners be registered with the MCC. In an online blog, Health 24, Pure Perfect users posted complaints to a medical expert saying that the product had "destroyed" their skin and were seeking advice on how to rectify it.

I have not tried this product, but there appears to be alot of interest in it at the moment. There seems to be some controversy over whether the company is affiliated with Fair & flawless, with some saying that pure perfect is the name used when the product was introduced to South Africa, but there is also discussion that the new parfait was actually made by the people who brought F & F to south Africa, after they decided the price of the F & F version was too high and they wanted to make their own product. I don't know what the truth is about this product, but like GG said, it would be interesting to know whether anyone has used it and what their experience has been.

I must say that I am not too fond of the after picture of this lady and am uncertain whether it is the most flatterring colour for her, but then some people don't mind the outcome as long as they are the colour they are looking for and I guess if she is happy then that is all that matters. I suppose it would be easy enough to warm up her complexion with make up if she wanted to, BUT yes the results are quite dramatic.

yeah, if she really is this fair now and if it's partly due to lighting, makeup, and camera then it's a bit too vampiresque for her features. Maybe part of it has to do with the hairstyle in the after shot gives it a Twilight-type appearance. Well, maybe more will come out later to elaborate more to answer more questions.

Great idea, I hope they give you a fast response and it would be good if they do have plans to do so since their ingredient lists are now changed. Hopefully whatever was causing some negative reactions has been solved now. I'm unsure how effective their newer version is, but if it is as effective as Sorisha's head-to-toe results are I myself would possibly consider someday going to SA just to see if it's really that effective.

Thank you for your interest in our product, please note that we are able to post to you via direct deposit to our Pure Perfect Acount.

Pure Perfect

So it looks as though it is possible to purchase from their line. Well as I have only just started my regime and I don't want even more stuff around the house waiting to be tried, I will hold off for now, but it is good to know.

That's great that they responded and mentioned this to you Maharani. I am curious if they work as great as they used too. All of these little responses posted on other forums and blogs I know the same 2 people who are making up claims so I take their statements with little validity. But, I'll have to take a look at their ingredients list again.

I noticed on PP's site that they mentioned that they are returning to their original Pure Perfect Parfait brand. The ingredients for their gel is listed, but none at all are menioned for their parfait though.

To be honest since I was aware of her, I have always thought she had nice skin so I wouldn't say that her colouring or skin condition is down to PP, but as the ex wife of Nelson, it is pretty impressive to be endorsing their porduct line. I doubt that they could quote her if she was not using something from their range, but whether she is using anything for lightening, who knows......

Also I. I want to know what she is really using, I wouldn't be surprised if they are more native and natural ingredients that she may be using that's keeping her skin in great condition.

I personally feel that this product has a lot of good potential as they are perfecting the product and it obviously lightens quite well. Again, please be cautious listening to suspicious members throughout forums and blogs posing under various false aliases stating that they are from South Africa &/or the U.S. or that they have a "friend" using the product and producing false claims, fake identities and comments, and fabricated truths.

If you wish to learn more about Pure Perfect please contact them directly. Below is an honest and descriptive letter written by Pure Perfect themselves:

It is with great interest that I have been following all forums and blogs commenting on Pure Perfect, but I draw the line on this one when two mweb users purposely pose as Sue and Sorisha, the long and short of this whole mess has finally been put to rest and yet we tirelessly endure the same conversations over and over again. The story started 6 years ago when the Fair and Flawless product was imported into the country by our company Pure Perfect based in South Africa. We then discontinued the product after many years due to skin thinning, and launched a new product, this product did not work as effectively as the original and many people were angry and upset with the company, their skin reverted to their original colour and they made claims of skin being burnt, this caused dermatologists in Durban to test the product which led to an article in the Sunday Times Extra, in which the product was being probed for Hydroquinone, we have since had the past and present versions of the American product tested and come clear for the presence of hydroquinone. We are still awaiting the dermatologists results as well as the Sunday Times conclusion, which has been avoided since the probe almost two months ago. After contacting the US company we have come to an agreement to tweak the product, which means the fruit acid concentration has been lowered. We will not entertain any further comments on blogs and forums but welcome you to write to us at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if you require further information. Thank you to Hessa for creating these opportunities for many to share and comment.

It's been awhile so I was wondering if any of you have learned more about what she was using besides pure and perfect.
This product seems legit and they are us based which means they are regulated more so then the ones located in poorer countries. I wonder how much it costs and if it can be used regularly; I'd use it.

Pure Perfect are able to ship internationally, but require that you deposit directly into their bank account in South Africa, so you would have to do some sort of international money transfer. I have no idea why they are not able to just allow orders to be placed in the normal manner.
