Hi all ya. Just want to know if anyone has knowledge about the SkinCeuticals products. I have been coming across their products, the pigmentation corrector and the new sunscreen. A bit on d pricey side though, but want to know if the company is reputable. cheers

Yes definitely reputable but I agree that they are expensive. I am not sure how good their pigment corrctor works on darker skin as someone I know used it but did not see much difference in the pigmentation but did think her skin tone was improved. she did stick with it for a few months but it looks like it would need to be a very long term thing for darker skin

Oh and I don't think you would see anything dramatic using it either on darker skin. Maybe a little bit of lightening

I thought you were already using or thinking of using an lightener. Just to clarify are you wanting to lighten or remove darker areas like a tan or hyperpigmenatation

I actually want to remove the sun damage on the sides of my face.i just started using retin-A O.025% and hydroquinone 4% for about a week now. i have had no peeling but my face feels softer. So am looking for what will make the sun damage fade away. Thanks

That should definitely help. Some people think skin peels help with sun damage too but it can easily be carried out incorrectly and cause more problems. I say be patient with the RA and HQ combination and give it at least a few weeks to see some improvement. I would also say pay more attention to the areas that are darker as well to help make the lightening more uniform. I am sure Kim will come in with more help.

mamadee I agree that the hq/ra routine does not give overnight results. I think you mentioned using the hq from ADC and maybe you got the Abbots one which I heard is better than the one I had, which was from Pirimal or something like that. HQ definitely works but you have to be sure you are getting the legit stuff. I don't believe that the one I got was really 4%.

mamadee make sure you are extra careful about using hq in the day in your hot climate as you could find you are fighting a battle to avoid getting darker

mamadee glad you are taking precautions. I have recently stopped using it in the day time too, just in case. Even though I am very cautious in the sun and always wear block as well as cover up. I just did not want to risk darkening. So far I have not seen any darkening as a consequence of only once a day application as opposed to twice a day. Hopefully that will continue especially as the sun is particularly strong at the moment. Hope you are enjoying Poland by the way, especially if it means you can keep up with your routine twice a day for now Smile
