Too much is not too good, correct. As there lies a risk of several potential problems that can occur such as diabetes, obesity, to name a few. Diabetes can't be reveresd either, that I know of. But, even if your slim in size it's best to still watch your sugar intake. As well as bad carbohydrates such as soda and white breads, as this breaks down into sugars as well. This is where the Glycemic index comes into play, demonstrating and differentiating the bad Carbs and good Carbs that works best for against the body.

Too much or too less of sugar are both bad and dangerous. That is why sugar level is very delicate and important to our health.

An interesting question that those addicted to soft drinks should ponder very seriously.

Looking at the nutrition information listed on the packaging of the soft drinks - such as can or bottle (and other prepackaged foods), if you see the sugar content, it is expressed in grams.

People in the US aren't that familiar with the metric system, so they tend to overlook this information. Grams translated into teaspoons is 1 gram = about 4 teaspoons.

That can of Coke with its 37 grams of sugar actually has just over 9 teaspoons of sugar in it. This is only 1 CAN of Coke. Imagine if you're so addicted that you drink 2 - 2 liter bottles of Coke per day like I was! That would come to 60 teaspoons per bottle or 120 teaspoons per 2 bottles!
