I know warnings are rarely adhered, but I'll post anyway for the safety of others whose desire is to avoid the steroids, such as clobetasol propionate (as well as other steroid and heavy metal-based ingredients) to the ill side effects it gives. For those who choose to use, you are using these at your own risk with no regrets and that The Skin Philosophy forum does not promote this product or anyother adulterated skin lightening product in any form that can cause serious harm:

Doctors list the side effects of bleaching creams as:

.Skin cancer
.Thinning of the skin
.Irreversible stretch marks
.Diabetes
.Osteoporosis
.Infection
.Easy bruising and tearing of the skin

.Glaucoma
.Rashes
.Enlarged blood vessels
.Cracking and fissuring
.Cushing's syndrome
.Excessive hair growth (Including Hair Growth Around The Mouth: Mustache & Beard)
.Susceptibility to infection

.Hyper pigmentation (SKIN DARKENING)
.Numbness of fingers
.Delayed wound healing
.Acne and hormonal disturbances
.Skin atrophy
.Acneiform eruptions
.Allergic contact dermatitis
.Erythema

.Folliculitis
.Hypertrichosis
.Miliaria
.Perioral dermatitis
.Pruritus
.Secondary infection
.Skin maceration
.Striae
.Telangiectasia

"Dr John Meadows, the hormone specialist who treated Gina, said: 'It was a truly shocking case. Although I have seen similar cases, this was the worst. First, her skin was permanently disfigured. But most alarming was that her adrenal glands had stopped producing one of the hormones essential to life.

...An Observer reporter asked a man standing behind the till for a skin-lightening cream. He offered two: Movate, which is made in Italy, and Hyprogel from Germany. Both contain the steroid clobetasol propionate, the chemical that nearly killed Gina."

...Asked why they were selling illegal creams, the shopkeepers pleaded ignorance. 'I did not know it was wrong,' said Mohammed of MJ News. 'Our customers ask for it and we buy it from a supplier. It is very popular."

Dear TSP members, please keep in mind that when you encourage or suggest to others to use steroid and mercury-based bleaching products (including the entire infamous Bio Claire line) that you should also mention to individuals of the dangerous and toxic health risks that can cause permanent disfigurement as well as harm to the body's organs of the individual(s). Many of these risks are not reversible.

Thanks for the warnings. Most of these products have been banned in the UK but they still find their way in through unscrupulous business men and women who care more for profits than profile
