Shirley Lightening Products & Their High Level Of Mercury Contamination:
For anyone interested in using or currently using the Shirley Cream products, please be very cautious as it contains 2.56% by weight of mercury (which is an awful lot) and the company who owns the Shirley brand had called for a withdraw of this product from the market in some locations because it was "prohibited in cosmetics by the Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC".
Mercury collects in women's ovaries and is toxic to our reproductive organs and plagues risks for "infertility, reproductive organ cancers, birth defects, developmental delays in children", among other side effects.
