Heat one cup of plain oatmeal and a cup of whole milk in a pot, stirring until cooked. Add a bit of sugar to thicken the mixture and allow to cool. Apply a generous layer to your heels, cover with clear plastic wrap and leave on for 5 – 10 minutes. The oatmeal soothes dry, irritated skin, while the milk acts as an exfoliant to help remove dead skin cells. Finish off by moisturizing some pure shea butter into heels. Slip on warm socks to lock in the moisture for ultra smooth feet in the morning!

Thank you for sharing jadamiranda! Shea butter is indeed great in soothing cracked heels. And by the way NEVER use petroleum jelly because, as per Dr. Samuel S. Epstein, M.D., Chairman of The Cancer Prevention Coalition, "Petroleum-based ingredients [e.g. propylene glycol, PEGs isopropyl alcohol] pose risk of cancer, genetic damage and reproductive toxicity including infertility, to unsuspecting consumers and their infants and children."
