Just wondring if anyone else is currently using latisse. I have been using it for several weeks and definitely like the eyelash growth that I have been able to achieve. My lashes have always been short and pointing downwards and I wear mascara every day to give my eyes definition, but I am liking what I am now seeing.

It has mde my natural lashes start to curl upwards and they are definitely longer. I can't wait to see what they look like in a months time. I do understand that this regime has to be maintained, as once you stop using the latisse, your eyelashes go back to their normal growth. But for me this one is definitely a keeper and I deffinitely don't mind the extra 30 seconds or so it takes to apply it in the morning and evening.

I have been using Latisse now since last October or November, I'll have to check my calendar for the exact date. I use it on my eyebrows and lashes and my lashes have grown longer and a bit fuller and they curl more, the brows have grown darker and fuller too and I was able to get my brows arched for the first time. Since my brows are naturally thin. I'm hoping they'll continue to grow very similar to Lauryn Hill's and Sade's..very nice.

But, sometimes my eyes feel too dry, that can be one of the side effects as mentioned.

When I first got the latisse I used to apply it to the inside edge of my top lashes and then I remebered that they did mention that one of the side effects could be darkening of the iris. My eyes are brown but in sunlight they look a lot lighter and quite nice in my opinion and I would hate for them to be darker. So after a week I just applied the latisse across the top of the lashes to try and avoid any of the product getting into my eye.

I am sure this does make a difference and I probably would have progressed a lot further had I continued with the first style in application. But maybe this could help you with the eye dryness, if this is what is causing the discomfort.

well, its good that your cautious where you are aplying the latisse, so to decrease the chances of your iris darkening. I think I read elsewhere that it will take long periods of time for that o happen? I'll have to go back and check. but for me, it doesnt matter if my iris darkens more, since they are already dark brown..lol. I probably wouldnt consider using it if my eyes were grey or green.

Oh and I have noticed as well that my brows are definitely thicker. I have never really had to shape my eyebrows, but they now look like they need shaping. It is amazing what this stuff can do.

yes, I know...I have been considering applying it to my scalp. I believe there is a hair growth brand trying to approve for this Bimatoprost ingredient to be added.

I have recently noticed more results this week..my lashes are definitely longer than before and are curling up more. my brows nolonger have gaps which is good. I have been ketching myself srarring in the mirror sometimes looking at my lashes..lol. Wish it was as easy as buying it at the store down the road though. that would be even more convenient..

For me, have not noticed any new extra growth on the lashes at the moment, but the eyebrows are definitely thicker. Yes it would be nice to be able to get the latisse form the local shop, but I guarantee it would not be $10 !! LOL

By the way, I am interested to know whether you had a similar craze to something we had a few years back, where there were ladies, especially Jamaican born, who were wearing semi permanent eye lashes, i.e lasting about a couple of months or so. There were loads of these girls walking around with what looked like spiders on their eyes, because the effect was by no means subtle. It did look cute on some girls and if I did not wear eye make up, I may have gone for this at the time, but maybe not as thick as some of the ladies had chosen.

I am sure they would love the latisse idea. I don't see the false lash look much anymore but there are a few girls that are still doing it. Did you have a similar trend ?

I have heard about this before and have seen women wearing these, but I very rarely wear even mascara..couldn't imagine getting the extensions and only imagining how much they actually cost.

The funny thing is you know, the man who created the bimatoprost that grows lashes actually only lives minutes from where I live only a town a way....if I only could somehow convince him to go in the lab and make up a huge batch for me...that's bliss...

The eye lash extension isn't that expensive, I think it was about £25 - £30 and would last several weeks, but I guess if you don't wear mascara, it definitely isn't for you. Anyway the latisse should hopefully give you the mascara look soon. I know that on another forum the results on one of the members was really intense. It actually looked like false lashes.

Yes, you need to work harder on your powers of persuasion with this man. I see you have talent in your midst !!!

Yeah I should try, never know maybe he will be generous and kind?

Latisse is amazing! I have been using it for months and I have had to stop using it every night and use it every other or every three nights, just to maintain the nutrients to my lashes. It's so worth it! I have blue eyes and have had no iris pigmentation or discoloring of my lash line. I saw results in about 4-6 weeks. At about 10 weeks is when I went down to every other night. I would highly recommend it to you and anyone else. Good Luck!!! Hope that helps.
