GG will be able to give you more info on this but from all accounts it appears that very little can be achieved taking Glut pills as it is gets destroyed during the digestive process before any real benefit can be achieved. Glut injections appear to more promising.
Some people seem to get more benefit from taking vitamin C and MSM but again I doubt it is going to make a dramatic difference but is nice to go hand in hand with whatever topical regime you are doing.

Gluta pills are very popular and many companies are selling them, but I haven't seen them work on anyone. I agree with everyone else here that vitamin c and sulfur can give you more of a bounce on lightening or brightening, but glutathione pills? No, that is a joke to get people's money.

Honestly, from ehat I have noticed is that the few people who claim that glutathione pills and sprays work have shown no proof nor evidence for everyone to see. Nor do they have an answer to claim that scientists' and doctors' studies are incorrect with oral glutathione. It has an extremely high fail rate among any race to be taken orally. Glutation injections (IVs) have a higher chance of some form of success, although this is not 100% guaranteed either. Just that this form is more well-known along with the use of vitamin C for doctors to use for their patients who suffers from Autism, HIV/AIDS, Parkinson's, and other forms of illness. IVs should only be administered from your doctor or other health care professional, this can cause serious problems if not done correctly. I suggest not doing this yourself because it is really risky, and even riskier when there are so many fake versions out there. Applying glutathione topically, such as with soaps and lotions, may not be as effective from the glutathione. But, some of the other active ingredients may assist with lightening though. I recall using Diana Stalder glutathione soap a year ago, expecting even more success compared to the papaya kojic soap. I had received zero lightening and ended up switching back to the papaya kojic soap which did assist some with fading my hyperpigmentation and exfoliated quite well. I do not disagree that glutathione is a strong antioxidant with wonderful benefits, because it is an antioxidant that our bodies naturally produce, thus decreases with age. Another potential method with naturally raising out glutathione levels is through glutathione's precursors. Glutathione is a tri-peptide made up the amino acids gamma-glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine and is also known as gamma-glutamylcysteinylglycine or GSH.

We have to be very cautious with companies promoting themes of how fair glutathione pills and sprays will lighten and how their brand is the greatest brand to try. Still they have not yet been able to prove their claims on how their pills are able to escape the GI tract for some reason without proven evidence and lack of laboratory testing. Not to say scientists and doctors are always correct, because they are not and should be equally judged as well. When taking glutathione orally, it is unable to reach the blood stream in effective amounts to receive any beneficial qualities, let alone the side effects of lightened skin which would need a great amount of glutathione to effectively seep into the bloodstream. Many who have tried them have had poor results (few reported possibly softer skin which can easily be acheived from using a $5 bottle of lotion). The last remaining few who have used them for the course of several months commonly also use various of other lightening products as well and believe it came from the pills. Unsure exactly which products were working for them, or have the tell tale signs of marketers that tend to lurk for potential unknowing customers.

I have taken a look at several of the glutathione "whitening" pill sites periodically over the course of 3 years. And as many others may have noticed is that the exact same before and after photos of the same 1-3 people are still being shown on the site. Unmistakably the 'before" photo is shown in dim or dark lighting and the "after" is taken in vibrant bright lighting with a strong camera flash and sometimes including lighter powdered makeup to appear as though the skin has lightened significantly. And yet unfortunately majority of the other customers are never shown of thier before/after photos after their dedicated use of taking high doses of glutathione tablets. Any lightening they had received most likely had came from the vitamin C. MSM (Methyl-sulfonyl-methane) + vitamin C, and possibly even L-Cysteine (which is one of the amino acids that helps produce glutathione) are the closest we may can get to any "miracle" lightening pill. They provide some brightening, lightening, and other benefits...but unsure about any dramatic lightening of the shades of skin. Sorry for the lengthy post.

Hi, I would like to suggest you to please don't use Gluta pills for lightning your face. These pills may be reactive and could harm your face. So it's better to use some facewashes, or natural treatment for face glowing.

I agree with Cordell, I noticed it had mentioned "What happens is they are broken down and since cystine is essentially viewed as a toxin without the sulfa to bond it together, the body says, bye bye to it. So it is of no value. It is not even a building block at this point."

I knew that when used a really high levels, cystine can be toxic to the body. How much is required for it to effective and still remain in the safe zone I have been unable to find the answer for this.

One of the set-backs of using tylenol (acetaminophen), it depletes the glutathione levels in our bodies. Taking tylenol too often or too much can do this.

Thanks everybody for the wealth of information and for explaining things. I got confused because sometimes I read that gluta can lighten and some I read how gluta did not lighten their skin, but it was the capsule pills a couple of my friends tried before.

i use gluta for ova 7 months now and has made me lighter quickly more than when i used pearl pills.
it worked for me, i feel sorry for those who it didnt work for them hence these pills dont come cheap(they are soooo expensive!), one should research for the BFAD pills.

what i love about pills is that NOT ONE PART OF MY BODY IS DARKER, Especially finger nuckles and toes. mine look exactly like my whole body so no one can tell i am lighter unless the person new me before.
creams are very good too but doesnt make everywhere light, meaning, if you forgot to put it on your ears and elbows you will look dark there.
i have friends that have been using creams for more than 4years and still being 2shade or 1 shade diferent but as for me its been 2shades in 14months plus i use to be very dark.

I went from Ananda Lewis to Toni Braxton's color within that time. They say my color takes about 6 mo. to see extreme results so we'll see, but coworkers noticed after 1 wk, my chin mask had lifted.

I think many neigh-sayers are one who have never tried it, my Philippino friends got me hooked and I see why it's so popular in their country.

I am not familiar with Amanda Lewis but it sounds like you are pleased with your results. Are you using anything else topically apart from the likas?
