(I've posted this in another forum also in case someone was wondering if i'm the same person). I really like this forum as well, so I wanted to share.
I want to know if anyone is interested in starting the hq compound mixture journey with me? I'm just gonna use hq powder and pg (Propylene Glycol )
I think maybe it will be easier if we start at the same time to keep each other motivated and compare results.
Just a thought. So if anyone is interested. I'm thinking of starting with 20% serum for body and of course less maybe 5-10 for face since it's already significantly lighter (face neck and chest) from using nadinola and makari.
Oh, my natural color is a little Kelly Rowlands color. My goal is Eva or Sanaa Lathan or Janet Jackson. I think this is pretty doable??
I have not purchased any products yet, but will probably tomorrow. I want to purchase from the same source so that we have the exact same ingredients.
If I have to compound mine first and make the mistakes i will or if someone needs me to compound theirs I will as I've been doing research on the best methods for months now.

Hi Yasmynn,

Yes I saw your other post and think it is a great idea. Personally I am going to stick with the 4% HQ, once I go back to using it and therefore will not need to formulate anything higher, but I think, even if there is no one here who is ready to compound their own percentage, I think it would still be really useful if you could let us know how you progress with this. Especially if someone decides to join you at a later stage.

How long are you planning to use the higher percentage and are you sure you need to start off so high? Have you tried the 4% on your body then?

I must say I am interested in this but I get nervous with mixing powder chemicals, especially strong ones like hq. I would think it would be better to start with a low percentage and then slowly work your way up, but I guess it depends on how fast you want results.

How much does all his cost? How many times a day do you plan to apply this mixture and for how long?

I myself have not yet used hq but plan to use a 4% dosage from ADC, I could be interested in doing this with you but maybe after you've been doing it for awhile?

Well under $30 and should last for over 2 months. Very inexpensive. I plan to use until it runs out and then go back to natural lighteners such as makari and niuma body lotion and not sure what else at that point. It's hard trying to find something to maintain for the body that's not outrageously priced. Anyone have any ideas?

Oh, and don't worry I will post my source and prices as soon as I receive my product and make sure they mix right.

Yasmynn I had good results with makari, but got really bad spots too. Did you have any problems using it? I am really tempted to try it again, but would not be able to take it if people started asking again why I had so many spots on my face. I read somewhere that some people have used the makari with retin A to help with the spots but am really scared that this still won't work for me. What do you think?

Yasmyn I think I remember you posting pictures after you used Makari on here somewhere. What prouct of theirs did you use, I know some have used the day and night cream and the body lotion.

The only 'natural' ones I know of is Fair & Flawless which far from inexpensive and comes in very small sizes.

I got spots too after a couple months, but then I started using clean and clear acne wash and retin and it's much better now. I used the body milk

How many shades would you say you lightend and was it gradual or rather drastic?

For me, I am not sure about shades but I think I lightened quite quickly & it was definitely noticeable. However my lighter skin only highlighted the awful spots that I got and then came all the embarrassing comments. Embarassed

Oh the whole, "there is something different about you", type comments? Well to them I would ask them to kindly shut to the h*ll up Razz

Which Makari product did you use kim and did you get those white spots?

I used the day and the night cream & I also tried the caviar but this was the one that really caused me to breakout the worst. The spots were like acne and then they turned dark & left their mark. It looked really bad against my much lighter skin and as I do not get a lot of spots everyone was asking me what the problem was. It was embarrassing to think I had done this to myself.

I'm very sorry to hear that :/

It sounds like the acne left marks, have they gone away yet? It also sounds like the day & night cream alone was working but once you added the caviar things went wrong.

have you started your compounding? I would like to try HQ but would not be confident to make up my own. Does it work out cheaper if you make it yourself?
