It makes my hair feel stiff. Are there other ways of removing ALL of it from my hair other than just washing it?

There are a couple of things you can do....there is a matrix product called biolage scalpthèrapie cooling mint-oil control treatment. Or you can use baby powder and brush it out thats called dry shampoo , hope this helps.

That is an interesting technique with using the baby powder since the powder absorbs the oils in the hair. If your hair is dark, try not to overuse it and use a comb or brush so that the powder is less noticeable. I agree, dry shampoo products can be really effective, and although costs more they usually come in a variety of other colors for better blending.

Bj avoid using petroleum products in your hair, they aren't healthy to use. Instead use natural oils for your hair they are healthier. You might also want to try a clarifying shampoo for deep cleansing as another option with dry shampoos, to help avoid product buildup.

petroleum and mineral oil only clogs the pores and hair follicles, starving your hair of much needed nutrients.

Kandiluv hit the nail on the head so to speak. If your hair is hard and feels like straw then more than likely you need to clarify. Use some baking soda in your regular shampoo to clarify. You can do this once per month or every two weeks. Your hair is stiff from product build up. After clarifying use a moisture rich conditioner and let it sit under a shower cap for at least 15 minutes. You can always leave it for the entire day or night.

If you want to get rid of the grasy hair, use apple cider vinegar before you wash your hair mix apple cider vinegar and cup with water and put it in your har for about 10 minutes, also you add the vinegar to your shampoo instead and wash your hair with it, or buy a clarifying shampoo. you can get clarifying shampoo in any beauty supply and at least do the vinegar once a week...

I agree, I used to also rinse my scalp and hair in apple cider vinegar mixed with a little cool water to help remove product and dirt build-up. Also gives hair a natural shine. Not to worry, the smell does fade.

hi,
Shampooing the hairs everyday is harmful. Its better to just rinse the hairs with regular water and wash with shampoo every alternate day.If you travel a lot and your hairs get dirty then you can take cap while traveling so that dust going into your hair is reduced and use less oil as it makes the dust to stick to our hairs.

Clarifying shampoos remove access oil. Can be bit drying if overused but can prevent and/or slow down some forms of hair loss
