Just thinking about all these high profiile marriages, where the husband is found out to be a cheater, but the wives stick by them. thinking of Bill Clinton, David Beckham, Tiger Woods and a whole lot more.

Why do you think these women decide to stick it out?

Often times, the 'other woman' doesn't know that she even IS an 'other woman'. The cheating husband LIES & tells the hapless woman that he's single. This is what happened in that Scott Peterson case (the guy who drowned his 9 months pregnant wife, Lacey). The press kept referring to the girlfriend as a 'mistress' but that wasn't the case. She had no clue about there being a wife on the scene. I hope that the wife in this case doesn't just assume & go clobber the girlfriend: she may be an innocent victim as well.

ondine, The man you mentioned is a total monster. Using someone like that and then when the situation gets tricky deciding to sort it out in the most evil way, to cover his infidellity !!! A truly wicked individual. I don't think any punishment will be enough for him. And if he had managed to get away without anyone finding out, how does anyone with a grain of decency live with themselves without constanly being haunted. His wife must be wondering who the h*ll she was married to !!!



I have heard of this before where the third party is totally oblivious and even in real life, I have met people in this situation. It must be so hard to keep up the pretence and lies !!! No wonder some men die at a younger age than women, what with all of the stress, keeping up with it all !!! I guess it is even easier if you have to travel a lot of the time as part of your work and it poses no problem to run 2 seperate lives.

Update re. the miners. The mistress says she plans to continue the relationship as apparently they are "in love". They have not stated whether she was aware he was married, but I am guessing she probably did. The wife plans to stick by her man too, so who knows how this is all going to pan out.....



And apparently the government are censoring all messages that go down to the miners, to prevent any upset or distress so he may be totally unaware of what is unfolding above his head. I am sure the tabloids will be vying to get hold of that story when he comes out.

I remember watching this series once at my friends house and thinking it is evey cheater's nightmare. There is no denying that it happened and it is out there for all to see friends, family. OMG I would just die!!

I think it was quite telling that initially the wife was not quick to go off with the husband and was merely sending him home and she would follow later. Maybe wanted time to smooth things over with her lover before going home to do the same with hubbie.

What a freakin' mess! What a nightmare. I don't even know what to say. That woman is a 1st class FOOL!!!!
