First topic message reminder :

Some of you may know that I am currently using ambi(hq2%) daily, with retin A maybe once or twice a week and azelaic acid daily. I am really ahppy with how my dark marks have faded and I would say that I have lightened a bit as well. Please don't ask me how much as I have no idea.

I have decided I want to up the routine a bit and have been researching obagi and have decided to purchase some to try out. Hopefully it should be with me next week!!!! Now because I am in the UK I had to have an online consultation followed by a phone call by one of the Obagi reprsentatives. I told her that I wanted to try the Clear (4% hq)one as opposed to the Blender because I really find retin A to be a bit of a pain when it comes to the peeling. Maybe when I have lightened a bit more I will be able to go make up free and can happily use retin a nightly!!! Anyway I asked her how long products like this with hq should be used and she siad she has been using her's for 4 and 1/2 years but is now on a maintenance programme where she only uses it 3 times a week. Now it is good for me to hear that they see no reason why hq cannot be used long term especially with so much conflicting info on the net.

She said the results are not instant but many clients get really great results using it but if there is not much change that I could try out the blender later on.I am really excited and hope to see how it works out. I know members like Enticing have seen great results with plain old ADC HQ 4% and retin a but I do believe that this is because he has been really consistent with the retin A

BTW if you do not know already this stuff does not come cheap so I am hoping it does work well for me

I guess so becaue I am really not seeing anything right now. I know that some like nadinola which is relatively cheap. It is hard to get it in the UK so know that I am going to have to pay shipping charges to get it. I am just loathed to buy yet more products and then find it is not for me. I am not sure whether I should just go straight to something like obagi rather than build up a supply of products that do not suit my skin.

I understand your reluctance to jump into another product after your fair and flawless incident and I would hate to seee that it it not do what you hoped. All I can say is that it has definitely lightened me and I am happy so far. Apart from the initial irritation that I mentioned before I have not had any problems.

I have ordered the obagi and will be using it alongside the rest of the hq that I have left. So on some nights I will use it and then others, it will be the adc hq. that way I will not feel that I have wasted all that money. Fingers crossed I will start to see some sort of results

Good idea yogi though it may slow down things a bit if you think one product is more effective than the other. ADC seems to work for some & not so much for others. Maybe it takes longer to kick in

yogi that sounds like a plan. Hopefully it will yield the results you are searching for. I can't talk more highly of this product. Love it !!! I would also think that if you also add in the retin A that it will be even better. I did recently add in dcl AHA and saw a tiny amount of peeling so have not used it for a few days. I think the peeling may be a little less to RA but I am sure you know I cannot handle too much peeling, so I am taking things EXTRA slow, even if it means that my results are held up. But for those with no issues with peeling skin I say go for it

My update is that I have defintely lightened more. I think I may have mentioned before someone who I said is lighter than me but our colouring seeems to be getting quite similar. I am still a bit darker but am much closer to her tone than before I started. I am so excied about this. If I got to her tone I would be over the mooon as I consider her to be very light

Yaayyyy!! I got my obgai. I am so excited. I can't remember when I ordered it but I don't think I had to wait that long for it. I see what you mean about the tube being hard kim so I will definitely adopt your method of extracting the last drops. This did not come cheap so have to make it last and last. I have applied a bit and it is far more moisturising than my adc hq. I am sooooooooo happy !!!!!!!!!!

Great news. I seriously hope it works for you.I know it is doing wonders for me. I am glad you understood everything I mentioned. Sometimes you wonder whether you explain yourself very well. I have had to cut open my second tube and it is truly amazing how much product is left in there that could not be squeezed out. Please keep updating Very Happy

Thank you all for your encouragement. That is a really great tip Kim so will be putting it into use but hopefully not too soon. I am liking this more and more as I use it. My skin feels so much better. It may be my imagination but I feel less dull looking. That is the only way I can describe it. My skin has more of a vibrancy. The other products just made my skin appear quite dry. So just waiting for the lightening but I have a strong feeling this will work Cool
