First topic message reminder :

Was thinking today, it would be nice to know what the weather is like where other members are, so we get an idea what we are up against in terms of lightening and protecting ourselves in the sun, where possible.

I am in London and the weather today is 21 oC, started off sunny but as I write, it has started to rain. In the last few weeks it has been very warm, in UK terms, at around 26 - 28 oC with clear blue skies and strong sunshine.

Now I know some of you are in much warmer climates, like California, so would love to know what the weather has been up to where you are. ..........

Especially as you are now embarking on a lightening regime, it is imperative that you get yourself some good sun protection, otherwise all your hardwork can be easily undone. Retin A also makes your skin more sensitive to the sun, so please do invest in a good quality sunblock.

You have been very lucky considering the conditions you are working in. Also take into account you will also be protecting yourself from premature aging with the sunblock, so another incentive for ya... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Are you joking !!!! I run from the sun like a mad person. I wear sun protection every day, have my trusted visor, walk on the shady side of the road and avoid sunny days and hot times like 12 to 3pm. Thankfully it has worked and I am just looking forward to the autumn, when I can be out without so much concerns about this dastardly sun !!!

What I mean is, when you apply it, your face has a pasty kind of white film to it.

like it does not absorb entirely to blend with your own complexion.....

Yes htere is snow here in California lol. Contrary to popular beliefe we have more then beaches and deserts lol. The closer you are to the mountains, the more snow you get

I didn't think sun block kept you from getting tan but rather protected your skin from the harmful uva/uvb rays

I don't want to jinx is but right now its about 85 and there is a cool breeze .
I know the people on the East coast are suffering from a heat wave and I heard ten people died in New York. I also read that there are power outages from people using their air conditioners
